Falling Rock Scuba Diving Park is a former rock quarry located just outside of LaGrange. It is owned by the Joe Clark family and has been turned in to a 7-acre dive site which is open on Saturday and Sunday, May through October. Divers pay a fee of $15 per day, sight-seers pay $7 per day.
The American Cave Museum and Hidden River Cave is located just off I-65 Exit 58 in Horse Cave. Discover the secret world beneath you as you explore Kentucky's official cave museum. Take a one-hour guided tour and descend 150 feet underneath the streets of historic downtown Horse Cave to the underground river that flows through Hidden River Cave. For those who want a wet and muddy experience, take a extended one-mile trek off the beaten trail on a Caving Adventure tour. Lost River Cave offers Kentucky's Only Underground Boat Tour. Nestled on the floor of the scenic valley, unseen from above, the Lost River disappears from view as you board the boat on the river that Ripley's Believe It or Not maintains is the shortest and deepest in the world. A comfortable 57 degrees year round, the boat tour offers a visit into the timeless world of the largest cave system in Bowling Green. Mammoth Cave is more than 400 miles long, a portion of which may be seen on guided tours led by National Park Service rangers. Bottomless Pit, Fat Man's Misery, Mammoth Dome, Frozen Niagara, and Broadway are a few of the famous passageways.
The leisurely 45 minute Cave Tour features stalactites, stalagmites, and other formations created by water and time to effect an incredibly beautiful underworld scene. Although the cave contains some steps it is among Kentucky's easiest guided cave tours. Kentucky Caverns is open for tours year round. Also located on site, Mid-March through October 31, is Kentucky Down Under, the interactive, fun and educational Australian themed Animal Park.
